Accessibility
Building so everyone can use what we make.
A site that only some people can use isn't finished. Accessibility is built in from the start, not bolted on at the end.
What this means in practice
- Readable contrast and type, so the words are legible to everyone.
- Keyboard and screen-reader support, so the site works without a mouse.
- Clear structure and labels, so assistive technology can make sense of the page.
Why it matters
Beyond being the right thing to do, an accessible site reaches more people, ranks better, and is simply built more soundly. Good accessibility and good engineering tend to be the same thing.
